Rank correlation  Rank correlation is  a method of finding the degree of association between two variables . The calculation for the rank correlation coefficient the same as that for the Pearson correlation coefficient, but is calculated using the ranks of observations and not their numerical values. rank correlation coefficient,  r s , can take values from +1 to -1. A  r s  of +1 indicates a perfect association of ranks, a  r s  of zero indicates no association between ranks and a  r s  of - 1 indicates a perfect negative association of ranks. The closer  r s  is to zero, the weaker the association between the ranks. Formula = Spearman's rank correlation coefficient = difference between the two ranks of each observation N =number of observations   Example                           Thank you......  By  Yashwanth ba...

Introduction to Statistics: Statistics is the branch of mathematics that involves collecting, organizing, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data. It's a crucial tool in various fields, aiding in decision-making, predictions, and understanding patterns in information. Functions of Statistics: Descriptive Statistics: This function involves summarizing and describing data, including measures like mean, median, mode, variance, and standard deviation. Inferential Statistics: It's about drawing conclusions and making predictions about populations based on a sample of data. This function often involves hypothesis testing and estimating parameters. Analysis and Interpretation: Statistics is used to identify relationships, patterns, and trends within datasets. It helps in understanding correlations and dependencies between variables. Decision-Making: By providing insights and evidence, statistics supports decision-making in various fields such as business, healthcare, economi...
